Study design: Female patients suffering from cyclic mastalgia received 200 IU vitamin E or 40 mg vitamin B6 daily for 2 months, randomised in a double-blinded clinical trial, to investigate influence on breast pain
Results: No difference in pain severity between both groups was observed prior to vitamin E and B6 application but during the first and second menstrual cycle after invention pain severity was decreased significantly.
Conclusions: Vitamin E and vitamin B6 administration is comparable in its effect on decreasing breast pain severity in cyclic mastalgia.
